Nick and I and had the pleasure to go shoot Amber and Chris's wedding at Lake Lure, North Carolina (just south of Asheville). The Lake Lure Inn and Spa is famous for being in "Dirty Dancing". Scenes from the movie were filmed at the Inn and also surrounding areas, such as Chimney Rock and Lake Lure itself. Amber even stayed in the 'Jennifer Grey' Suite. We got there early enough to take some getting ready photographs of the girls and we were able to head over to the cabin where the guys were staying to get some nice shots of them, too. Amber and Chris put so much work into their wedding, it was absolutely stunning. They had beautiful details at the ceremony, which was directly at the Lake with the mountains in the background. They even had a full on candy bar, that matched the colors of the wedding. It was a great event with everything falling into place. They ended the night with a great North Carolina String band, that got the crowd really moving (if you know anything about the Asheville music scene, you know about bluegrass). The lead singer taught all the people on the dance floor how to dance traditional square and line dances and everyone had a blast. Nick posted a video earlier this week.
